Meet the dynamic mother and daughter team.

Julie and Louie, 2023

owner and head behaviorist, Julie

My love of canines began as a child, the moment my mother brought me home and our Brittany Spaniel, Candy licked my tiny cheek, my life was destined to revolve around dogs. During high school, I interned for my veterinarian for a summer, read several books on training and decided to intern for my local dog trainer. After a year internship, I opened Teach Your Mutt Manners Dog Training in June 2000. Years later, I have worked with legends in training like Matthew Margolis, and spent years volunteering for my local animal shelter. My training philosophy is simple. My job is to give you the tools you need to improve your relationship with your furry friend. Guidance, patience, persistence and consistency are the pillars of our training programs.

Jenna and Delilah, 2016

canine trainer, Jenna

Jenna’s love of dogs started from birth as well. She was raised with Golden Retrievers and Labradors. She started her career in the canine industry in June 2013 as a Kennel Assistant for a doggie daycare. She has worked as a Kennel Assistant, Doggie Daycare Attendant, and most recently went through the training program with PetSmart and became one of the most loved trainers in their program. Our family relocated to North Texas in 2018 and she decided to join the Teach Your Mutt Manners family business. Jenna trains with a gentle hand and heart. Her love of dogs is truly unique, she spends her evenings checking the next door app for dogs that are lost and works within our neighborhood to reunite lost dogs with their owners.
